Ulanda silently celebrates being the best girl school in the county

St Albert Ulanda girls managed to beat all the girls’ schools in Migori County and at the same time produced the county’s top girl.

The school attained a mean grade of 6.25 with 139 getting direct entry to the university. 104 candidates scored C plain.

Leona Weston was the only girl who scored A- in the entire county. She aspires to pursue a course in medicine through full Equity Bank scholarship.

The Principal Syprose Mary Atieno attributed the starling performance to a unity and bench making on individual subjects.

She at the same time said demand has escalated despite the wanting infrastructural advancement. The staff shortage has been a challenge as the school CBE is 86 teachers but only have 29 which have forced them to hire 32 teachers on contract to bridge the huge staff shortage.

She appealed to old students to give back to school.
