After trailing him for weeks, the suspect who killed an Administration Police officer at Total estate was finally killed at Isebania border as he tried to escape to Tanzania.

Migori OCPD Joshua Opiyo said the suspect Peter Chacha was shot while his accomplices managed to escape to Tanzania after being trailed for long.

Chacha had stabbed to death Moses Kemboi Komolkat while under arrest in Migori town while he was being taken to Migori police station.

The suspect was shot after hours pf stand off and police said they have six other suspects in custody, including a taxi driver who was driving the suspect and AP officer.

Komolkat was killed as he was calling for back up at a petrol station. Simon Magero, the sub county administration police commander said the suspect came out of the vehicle and stabbed the officer severally.

“He had stepped outside the car and called for me for reinforcement when the suspect pounced on him with a sharp knife and stabbed him to death,” Magero said.

The suspect had been arrested for Sh60,000 with a false pretense to sell a money laundering machine to a group of Somali business men.
