Sony Sugar Complex Academy on Thursday celebrated producing the top student in Migori County and having the best score since being established 23 years ago.
Former candidates at the school which is fully sponsored by Sony Sugar Company met for special prayers and to congratulate Byron Billy Ochieng who obtained a total of 429 out of the possible 500 marks .

Ochieng’ said he aspired to be an architectural engineer said his dream was to change the trend where buildings have been collapsing in the country.
“I want to join the sector and change things for the better, Ochieng’ said.
He was closely followed by the school’s best female student Nelly Adhaimbo Nyanjur. who scored 417 marks.
Nyanjur said she will pursue civil engineering after high school and help improve the local roads in Awendo and Migori County at large.
The school’s head teacher Peter Awino said they were elated by the results from 40 candidates which he said were the best.
The school had a mean score of 375.68 compared to 364.10 last year which is the highest so far.
In Migori town, Glory Academy celebrated Marvin Wanjala who scored 417 marks to become the best ever student produced by the school.

The soft spoken and aspiring journalist said his achievement wouldn’t have been realised were it not for the input from both his parents and teachers at his former school.
Enock Dansel Nyamweya was second with 413 marks to become the best ever student the school has ever had.
