Seven vehicle for county

By Fred Okoth.

Migori County Government has acquired seven Ford Ranger double cabin pickups from CMC motors in a bid to boost operation of the county government.

The pickups were delivered to the County Governor Okoth Obado by CMC Kisumu Branch manager Richard Kyalo at the Governor’s office in Migori town.

Speaking during the delivery, Obado said with the delivery, he expected things to pick up immediately in the county and that the vehicles will go a long way in helping the county in delivering services to the people in the county.

“We are glad that we can now start working in earnest,” Obado said adding that the county was glad that it had finally acquired the vehicles.

On his part, Kyalo thanked the county for choosing CMC motors for the automobile needs and said that they were looking forward to a longer and fruitful working relationship with the county.

“We are positive that the machines we have delivered are more than capable of dealing with the county terrain,” he said adding that they will also be offering maintenance for the vehicles.

The vehicles were each valued at 4.3 million shillings and came with a 3 year warrant.

Later, CMC delivered another set of three vehicles of the same make to Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga in his office.

The handing over was witnessed by County officials from the county as well as officers from CMC.

And according to Kyalo, the group was seeking to work close with counties in western and Nyanza by also providing maintenance of the vehicles to avoid unnecessary breakdown.
