Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance [U.D.A] has taken the fight right into Migori county with mass registration of members in Uriri constituency.

The move will upset Orange Democratic Movement party stronghold base of leader Raila Odinga.

Over the weekend, the mobilization took place in West Kanyamkago ward led by UDA party staff from the party secretariat led by Collins Kiptoo Chemenjo.

“We have the main aim to mobilize more party members and also make sure that the new political party is felt at the grassroots level,” Chemenjo said.

He said that they aim to do more registration of members online so that they can get enough numbers in Migori County and the larger South Nyanza region.

The organizer of the two-day exercise Peter Atonga alias Atonga Junior said that the main aim is to get the party felt on the ground before the next general elections.

“We had a two day youth football tournament that attracted many people to register as members and also make sure we get the numbers from the ODM strongholds,” Atonga said.

United Democratic Alliance [U.D.A] Coordinator in Uriri Sub County William Wasonga Odero said that the alliance has registered more than 2000 members online in the last two days and intend to do more registration in the sub county and the larger Migori County.
