Uriri sub-county police are holding a Rapogi man, 29, for defiling his niece aged 14 years.

The suspect was arrested from Rapogi market in Central Kanyamkago area after the minor’s mother noticed her daughter had difficulty in walking.

Uriri police boss Peter Njoroge said the suspect identified as Samson Oloo was arrested after the minor confessed against him.

“The girl after being interrogated by the mother confirmed the indecent act, a medical report confirmed the worse,” Njoroge said.

He said the suspect was arraigned in court.
