Gordon Ogada, the SportPesa Mega Jackpot winner unveiled a multi-million storey village villa at Wath Ong’er village in Nyatike, Migori County.

Ogada invited guest during the unveiling of the villa in a ceremony conducted by Father Alfred Orwa Bwana of St Michaels Nyandema Catholic Church among other dignitaries and family members.

Ogada pocked  a whopping KSh 230,742,881 in February 2018 SportPesa jackpot, the biggest win in gambling in the country.

“This was my latest project and I thought I was to end it in December last year, but it took some time,” Ogada said.

He said his next project, which will be in six months will be building apartments in Ngong’ to generate income.

This will be his second him after buying another home in Kitengela, Kajiado county immediately he won the jackpot.

“This house has the same luxury like the one in Kitengela and my wife and three kids can be as comfortable no matter which house they are in,” he said.

Ogada said he chose to come closer to his home village by building his rural home, saying despite his financial windfall.

“I am still the village boy, my roots in Nyatike are strong. I have helped 56 needy students through high school and college with bursaries,” he sauid.

He said he has also been issuing solar lump, household items and even building houses to needy neighbours.

He said he will forever be grateful to SportPesa because “these are things I only used to dream about but now by His grace, I can welcome my friends and the community to break bread with my family as we celebrate this achievement.”

SportPesa second highest jackpot winner Samuel Abisai who won KSh 221 million attended the ceremony, but kept away from media limelight.

Other Kenyans who has also won huge jacpot is Cosmas Korir who won KSh 208 million in 2018.

Frankline Mwenda officer with SportPesa said they have been having close partnership with the three including other jackpot winners.

“They are our partners, including other winners as we offer them with financial advice when needed. In most cases, winners always have plans underway and the amount only make realizing them easier,” Mwenda said.

He said the plan including taking a winner who used his windfall to take a wife to India for treatment.
