Lawyer and political activist Philip Omollo has officially thrown his hat in the ring for the next speaker of Migori.
Omollo took to his Facebook profile to make the announcement ending speculation as many candidates are jostling for the position.
He said people in Migori “ave told me that if I seek the office of SPEAKER they will support me through prayers and any other means.”
“It is actually so touching,” he said.
He hinted that instead of letting the chance pass, he will make a move for the vacant seat.
“A friend says if you marry you will regret and if you don’t marry you will still regret. So marry even if you will regret because even if you don’t marry you will still regret,” he said.
Omollo hails from Suna Central ward in Suna East constituency and once wished to be a ward Representative before making an about turn.
In the Tuesday polls, Omollo mopped up into a political activist supporting Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and governor-elect Ochillo Ayacko.
He has been a fixture in Mayienga FM morning show as in-house law pundit to tackle legal queries with host Festus Amimo.
