A pickup suspected to be used by vandals was burnt beyond recognition in Ombo village, Uriri subcounty.

Angry residents of Ombo village in Uriri sub county,Migori county yesterday night torched a vehicle belonging to suspected vandals a few meters from Ombo secondary school.

Area OCPD Jacob Kaveria said owners were spotted next to electric wires and a transformer around Ombo Secondary School before they were accosted.

He said the suspects managed to escaped through nearby sugacane plantation with the mob turning their wrath on thier vehicle they had left behind.

Several wires were found in a nearby plantation as police have begun investigatioins to arrest the suspects behind the pickup of registration number KCA 898P.
