The Nyatike DCC Paul Langat has flagged off a peace caravan that will send message of peace and political tolerance to the residents in three constituencies of Nyatike, Suna West and Suna East constituencies.

Langat said the move, organised by a local NGO Blue Cross and Catholic Relief Services has come in handy weeks after recent political based violent incidences witnessed in the area.

“We will cover the area and amplify call for peace aimed at toning down political temperatures in Migori county which has been in the recent past listed as hot spot zones with possible political voliolence eruptions,” he said.

Erick Omondi, the Director at Blue Cross said they are upbeat the Tuesday polls will be peaceful.
