Nyatike sub-county commissioner James Namtala is among civil servants who have resigned to go into elective posts in August polls.

The born again Christian and soft spoken Namtala will be contesting for Member of Parliament in Mt. Elgon Constituency to unseat the incumbent John Serut.

His position will be taken by James Mabeya, the Kaler division assistant County Commissioner is an acting capacity.

He was speaking while issuing food donation to 20,000 residents of Nyatike in his last functions (READ THE STORY HERE).

Namtala, who enjoyed a cordial relationship with area MP Edick Anyanga thanked locals for their support while serving them.
