With less than a week to the ODM party primaries, Kenya Union of Civil Servants secretary general and Nyatike MP aspirant Tom Odege is facing law suit baring his candidature.

A group of civil servants from Siaya county have written a petition to ODM party and IEBC to challenges his candidature over alleged integrity issues.

Confirming the petition to a local radio staion, Odege said the group should stop wasting their time in court.

He said his quest for Nyatike parliamentary seat will not be blocked and insisted the petitioners were wasting their time in court as he does “not have any integrity queries as claimed.”

He also refuted rumours that he had withdrawn his candidature as propaganda.

In their written petition signed by a complainant Ogaja Ogaja, the civil servants want Odege to be barred over integrity issues.

The civil servants in their petition accused Odege over gross abuse of the office and engagement in financial mismanagement

Odege never made it to the ballot in Nyatike race in last polls after he lost to MP Edick Anyanga in the primaries.

The aspirant has urged the Orange party to ensure the nomination are free and fair.
