Nyarach Mixed Secondary principal John Opiyo has urged students who scored C plain and below to in national examinations to enrol for technical courses in technical colleges.

Opiyo said candidates should get assistance of their parents rather than getting discouraged as their counterparts join university.

He said most parents and learners should not be disappointed by results but should remain focused on making their lives and careers better.

“No student fails and examinations, parents should start from the local technical institutions or colleges before advancing to higher levels,” he said.

“I wish to encourage parents not to let their children rot at home for lack of attaining university entry grades but rather to help them start shaping their future by enrolling them in technical institutions where they can begin studies either at certificate or diploma levels and progress up to the degree level and beyond.” he said.

He said this will help improve the 100 per cent transition envisioned by the national government.
