Kanyasa MCA and Migori woman representative aspirant in forthcoming elections Jackiepol Ongoro has slammed rivals who have been intimidated by her political rise by using supporters to call her slay-queen.

Ongoro said the race for the Woman Representative should be based on substance and polices of all aspirants and should not degenerate into beauty and looks.

In a post on her Facebook profile, Jackiepol elicited mixed reactions after posting for the first time about the slang.

“Slay queen ni wewe puga,” Jackiepol posted with a light touch complete with two emojis showing a puzzled look.

Reactions flew in fast and furious:

Ogogo Fabian: “Watachoka let them talk, mama county forever.”

Okech John: “To pple using unwanted names to our respected and incoming migori women rep hon jackypol should stay warned. Respect to all learders.”

But speaking to Migori News, Ongoro said it sad that politics ahead of 2022, especially for women aspirants have turned into beauty.

Voice of women, youths and PwDs

“We have several female aspirants that have been called handsome, some have had their beauty questioned which should not be the case. I know my rivals are scared of my rise and feel they can use my beauty as a weapon,” she said.

She said her beauty is God given and should not be a yard stick in the forthcoming campaigns promising her rivals a tight race.
