A boda boda operator and a form two girls are held at Migori town police station for eloping.
Willis Omondi Okinyi is reported to have been spending with the school girl for a week without the knowledge her parents.

He was arrested his home in Nyangubo village, Suna West Sub County.

County police commandant David Kirui said the rider was always hired the girl’s parents to ferry her to school before she went missing from school for a week.

The county commander said that the girl’s mother was called to the school to inquire where about her daughter after she failed to report for a week.

“she did her private investigations before finding them and reporting the matter to us. Currently we are trying to ascertain the age of the girl and carry out HIV/AIDs test among other before accusing the rider of defilement among others,” he said.

The two are facing charges which include breaching Child legal, care and protection act as stipulated in the children rights act.
