The traders said that they want new watchmen to be stationed in the market to make sure that they secure the market that has had a lot of cases of theft of goods on the stalls.
Kennedy Okong’o said that when they used to pay for their own security of the goods in the stalls, the market was more secure and they never lost any goods to the night thieves.
“The market was secure when the traders used to pay watchmen for themselves in order to secure the stalls and the market but the theft situation has just started after the County Government contracted security firms,” he said.
