Gold miners drawn from Osiri Matanda mines in Nyatike sub-county have moved in to prevent movement of Tanzanians in the area as a measure to fight Covid-19.
Mining officials have already pushed into quarantine and isolation centers 40 members for violation several government measures.

Entrance to the site have been manned by youths and Ministry of Health officials who collect data from all entrants including temperatures.
The mining sites which earlier had over 1,500 members have seen the number whittled down to less than 200 to ensure social distance is maintained.
