Kuria West MP politics have taken a a new shift after ODM leader Raila Odinga appeared to have endorsed KTN journalist Rashid Ronald and ignored another scribe Matiko Bohoko.

On Tuesday Ronald shocked fellow scribes when he left his camera and jumped to the podium to announce his bid amid cheers forcing Raila, who had finished his speech to move back to the seat,

“I want to tell my brother and friend Raila that our cordial relationship is about to change as i am the only person who will ensure the seat does not go to Rift Valley or Central again,” Ronald said.

Raila raised his hands in compliment completely ignoring Bohoko, former Concord Managing Editor who vied for the same seat last year on an ODM ticket.

Another journalist Maneno Mwikwabe, Kuria East loser in last polls, also did not have time to address the public as the crowd carried Ronald shoulder high with Raila leaving the podium.

Rashid is among the veteran broadcast journalists at KTN and the Nyanza regional reporter for the giant media house.

He will seek to unseat the incumbent Mathias Robi elected on URP ticket.
