Rongo MP Paul Abuor and his Kuria East counterpart Marwa Kitayama have warmed up to a political alliance ahead of 2022 general elections.
The two leaders said it will be possible for ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto to coalesce ahead of next polls.
They were speaking in Kuria East Sub County during the burial of former MP Shadrack Manga.
Abuor of ODM and Kitayama who is allied to Ruto said talks were in top gear to form a pact which will be a political tsunami that will change the country’s political landscape.
Abuor said Raila was out to drum politics of development and succession in Kenya, and will reunite for a common cause with like-minded parties in forming the next government..
“Kenyans should brace for a political tsunami when baba recovers, a possible realignment is in the offing and it will take everyone by storm,” Mr Abuor said.
Kitayama said Dr Ruto had no problem forming an alliance with Raila noting that the pair has enjoyed a cordial working relationship in the past.
He said plans had been mooted to have the two forms a working relationship and will be communicated at the right time.
“We have no problem working with our brothers in ODM as long as we share a common political interest. We will communicate our next course of action once the deal is ripe,” Kitayama noted.
The two said there are no permanent enemies in politics.
