KEMEGE: I back Ayacko for governor, not eyeing his DG post as I am firmly in Kuria East MP race

Kuria East constituency politician Tyson Gabriel Kemege has confirmed he is on the race for the constituency seat, and not to be a deputy governor.

Speaking to Migori News over the phone, Kemege said reports that place him as a potential Deputy Governor for senator Ochillo Ayacko by this site were humbling enough but his focus is right now at the constituency seat.

Kemege seeks to replace the incumbent Marwa Kitayama.

“I am seriously investing on Kuria East candidature as member of parliament. However this (DG talk) is a big plus that I can be remembered. Ochillo remain my candidate with Mosenda formation beyond that we will revisit,” he said.

Kemege was thrashed into politics in 2013 general election when he was a fresh graduated as senator Wilfred Machage Kuria East constituency campaign manager.

He later became a kingmaker for several candidates and ended up being the Deputy Governor for Sammy Ogalo, who voed for independent ticket in governor race during last elections.

“I have helped several politicians as a kingmaker, i need now to work on making myself a king through this election,” he said.

“In 2022 general election i am standing for Kuria East MP race and will concentrate on this,” he vowed.

Since 2018, Kemege said he has help push through the following projects:

  • Starting Komotobo Handicap Drmitory- Nyabasi West
  • Koromangucha Water- Nyabasi East
  • Gwana Secnary School- Nyabasi East
  • Bishop Anyolo Girls- Nyabasi West
  • PwDs equipment through lobbying
  • 24 partial bursaries
