Rapogi High School might have emerged the top school in Migori county in the KCSE resultsof 2018 released by Education CS Amina Mohammed on Friday.
Teddy Otieno was at number 23 and Mathayo Okombo at number 90.
Here is the final results: A 3, A- 38, B+ 66, B 83, B- 91, C+ 75, C 47, C- 18, D+ 6 with a mean 8.2201
But the good results have been clouded by reports by Friday evening that all five students who took French subject got an Y, which is cheating.
Out of top 100 students nationally, the school produced two who were also top in Migori county.
In Nyanza Maranda in Siaya county produced the highest number at six with Maseno School in Kisumu County having 5 followed by Rapogi in Migori.
Orero Boys in Homa Bay county had a student the same to Kisumu Boys, while Nyamira and Kisii counties, despite numerous cases of cheating, produced none.
In Total Nyanza, Siaya and Kisumu counties produced six students each in top 100.
Rapogi High School is a good school. I wish my son who scored 403 in 2019 KCPE was selected there.
