Suna East MP Junet Mohammed targets new 30,000 voters which will double his constituency voters roll.

Junet said he will begin rolling registration at Nyabisawa, Nyamanga and Nyango centers on Kakrao Ward before rolling it across all constituency.

“The drive will ensure we get victory for ODM leader Raila Odinga. In last elections most eligible voters were locked out from the ballot because of lack of IDs, a mistake we will not repeat,” he vowed.

He was speaking on Monday at Nyabisawa center when he opened a six door AP post which will boost the security response at Nyabisawa’s chief camp. The project is fully funded by CDF kitty and was his campaign pledge.

“I pledged and I have delivered. And today I pledge another police post at Nyamanga center,” he said.

At the same time he said the next bursary allocation will be at Sh10,000 per student which will be from Sh7,000.
Junet said MCAs in Migori have failed locals by marrying many wives instead of development to spur benefits of devolution.

“Some MCAs are sleeping at the assembly and marrying many wives instead of devolution billions allocated in Migori in their wards” he said.

He said he has toured Migori for the last five days and most locals are yet to see benefits of devolution as department s which were devolved like agriculture, water and health are yet to benefit them.

He said the grass root elections will be peaceful.
