Impounded bus

Rongo KNUT member rejoiced as they received their bus that had been repossessed by the local Kenya Commercial Bank due loan default.

The bus was towed to the bank for the last five months.

Branch teachers from Awendo, Uriri and Rongo sub counties were there to receive the bus from KCB led by Rongo branch executive secretary Thomas Ochiel Awino.

Awino said they were hey have been exposed to humiliation after failure of government to release union dues saw them incur huge arrears at the bank.

“We underwent psychological torture,” he said.

The unionist who was flanked by the branch Chairman Samwel Omwaga and the branch woman representative Nancy Kajwang urged TSC to release fund meant smoothen the operations of the union activities.
