Instead Of Launching Even A Pit Latrine In Uriri, Ayacko Opened An Inconsequential Office- Nyamita

By MN Reporter

Uriri MP Mark Nyamita has downplayed last week opening of a parallel ODM party office ion his constituency.

Speaking to Migori News over the phone on Monday, the legislator laughed off the move by governor Ochillo Ayacko to open the office in his constituency.

“Ayacko is welcomed in Uriri anytime and we are happy when he is there, but instead of even coming to launch a pit latrine for voters to see what development he has for them he chose to open a legally and politically insignificant office,” Nyamita said.

Nyamita said Ayacko has no power or political mandate to kick any individual out of the party.

“Our parties are legally constructed and what happened last week is baseless,” Nyamita said.

The legislator said Ayacko has failed to fulfill any election pledge in his hundred days in office and has resorted to sideshows and clinging to party to mask his failure.

“I wish to tell the governor that personally and voters will see through leaders with no development agenda hiding their failures through the party like he did in all position he has ever held,” Nyamita said.

His sentiments were shared by Helen Oyaro, who was supposedly kicked out as Uriri ODM chairperson .

“We are in the ODM party and we have support from party members and leaders in grass root and ward level, what happened last week was a personal errand by the governor and not binding,” Oyaro said.

She said what happened in Uriri and Rongo were just personal errands by the governor.

Last week Ayacko led to opening of two parallel offices in Rongo and Uriri.

Nyamita and Rongo MP Paul Abuor are working with government of President William Ruto despite calls by the party and the leader Raila Odinga against the move.
