I swear Odege will never be Nyatike MP for antagonising Obado, i will be next governor- Boaz

Migori speaker Boaz Okoth has vowed he will ensure Nyatike MP Tom Odege is not re-elected over what he termed as disrespect.

Boaz said it was bad that Odege has resorted to publicly attack Migori governor Okoth Obado, a man he said helped him immensely to unseat Edick Anyanga.

“Odege should be ashamed for him to stand in public and openly say that Obado will end his term in disarray, it is him who we will send home,” Boaz said.

He called on any Nyatike residents who still seeks favours, either in tenders and bursaries, from Odege to move with speed and finish with the legislator.

“As Nyatike we are done with Odege, we will have anybody to be our MP but not him,” he said.

He said Odege was among leaders from Nyatike who wanted him impeached recently.

Boaz insisted that he was best placed to replace Obado in 2022 and he was ready to go for the governor seat.

“Those who are out to unseat Obado should avoid this madness of hiding behind the impeachment motion,” he said.

Odege who is represented by an aide Steve Ogony rubbished Boaz talks saying Nyatike said Odege was elected by residents and never helped by anybody.

“We were elected by people, we are ready and we will defend our seat through people and not via busy bodies,” the aide said.

The two were speaking at Sori in Nyatike during Mashujaa Day celebrations led by county commissioner Boaz Cherutich and County Secretary Christopher Rusana.
