The unlikely entrant of Migori governor candidate on Independent ticket Samson Owuor Ogallo into the race is likely to upset the two current front runners.

Ogallo, a communication expert and businessman based in USA hails from Rongo constituency and has picked seasoned Kuria East politician who came second in last ODM primaries Tyson Kemege as his deputy.

His entry will wrestle the Rongo vote from former area MP Ochilo Ayako who currently enjoys support from the area.

It will also throw into further disarray support of the incumbent Okoth Obado in Kuria area after he chose to stick with Mwita Mahanga who hails from minority Abairege clan, where Kemege also hails from.

Sammy Ogallo, as he is fondly called by his friends if from Kodero Bara village and said the poor record by the incumbent, with runaway corruption has seen him join the race (READ THE STORY HERE).

The three will also face off with ANC’s Jack Okoth and his DG Ken Muhochi together with Jubilee Party’s Chrispinus Weiria and his DG Simon Wambura.
