Oketch who hails from Uriri constituency said it is God’s grace that made her join the race for the seat in 2022.

She said Migori has a lot to be done and shape policies and development for youths, women and People With Disability.

“God is in control, anything we plan to do we set before him and I know he will make this dream come true for Migori,” she said.

She said so far, she is “happy for views of my supporters, we have support needed to make Migori great again.”

“I know there are many words and ideas to put before Migori residents, for now we will place to God,” she said.

She added that, “I know in my heart that God has blessed my ambition, thanks for Migori and especially supporters from Uriri.”

Oketch’s entrant comes after her colleague the late Ben Oluoch Okello also jumped ship from journalism to be the second Migori senator.
