Police in Migori town picked a fetus next to Migori Level Four hospital after children found it wrapped in a polythene bag.

Investigations have been launched to arrest the woman who procured the abortion and the medic who procured it.

County police commander David Kirui said they have begun questioning residents of Police Line estate, next to the hospital.

He said children who were playing next to a three feet dump site next to the hospital found the fetus and alerted their parents.

Edwin Nyainda, a parent said they called the police who picked the fetus and took it to Migori hospital morgue.

“At first they thought it was a ball as it was wrapped, when they picked it up the fetus dropped down,” Nyainda said.
