Migori senator Ochillo Ayacko have termed as propaganda claims that already the candidate for ODM party for Migori governor have been picked.
Speaking to the press over the phone, Ayacko said it was unfortunate that most governor aspirants have taken to taint the image of the party, party leader Raila Odinga and other leaders that the party ticket is already decided.
“What i know is that i am straight forward and have worked in earnest for the ODM party, my leader Raila Odinga and the people of Migori which has seen rivals who don’t have any development track record despite having funds in their office,” Ayacko said.
Ayacko has declared interest to vie for governor in the 2022 general election when Okoth Obado steps down after his second term ends.
“Those fueling these nomination rackets are working for the enemy of ODM party and Raila Odinga and they seek an exit plan from the party by creating confusion and destroy it from within when the party is yet to do any nominations,” he said.
The senator said he was ready to face any nomination process brought by the party and called on rivals to trust the process and avoid unnecesary propaganda.
“If there is a free and open race I will win the nomination and the general elections, they are seeking the way to destroy me as an individual, odm as a party and leader Raila Odinga,” he said.
His comment comes after Woman Representative Pamela Odhiambo claimed there was already an image that the lucrative ODM party ticket is gone, months before any candidate is picked for any seat.
