Migori County assembly staff yesterday offered support to orphans at Nyatike sub –location.

Led by Speaker Hon. Gordon Ogola and Clerk Mr. Patrick Wakine, the staff donated food, clothes and other stuffs at Macalder Catholic Orphanage.

The staff had contributed the goods worth Sh100,00.

“Assembly staffs led the way and call on the county government and the leaders to come and work in unison in helping the destitute in the society,” Ogolla said.

The orphanage managed by catholic nuns hosts around 200 children most of them orphanage scourge.

On his part Wakine said children are a blessing from God and we should be able to take care of them, if we give them the best our country will have future leaders.
