CORONAVIRUS: Nyatike 2022 MP aspirant Achar donates hand washing points, soaps and sanitisers

Peter Nyajure Achar, an aspirant out to unseat Nyatike MP Tom Odege has led a donation drive to help mitigate against coronavirus in the expansive constituency.

Speaking to Migori New over the phone, Achar said that he established his grass root mobilisers to hlp distribute water tanks, soaps and sanitizers in all seven wards in the area.

“Through grass root mobilization we mapped out all fish landing beaches, markets, main centers and boda boda stages in Nyatike to donate the initial 15 points in each ward,” Achar said.

He said members of the public in Kachieng’, Kanyasa, North Kadem, Got Kachola, Kaler, Muhuru Bay and Macalder-Kanyarwanda wards contacted his grassroot mobilisers who initiated the drive.

“We moved in first and fast during the onset on the fight against coronavirus because of community social responsibility to compliment what government and other elected leaders will do,” Achar said.

He said his team is still mapping out more places to receive help after first round of distribution went on smoothly.
