By MN Reporter

Migori County nurses have raised concerns to the County Government of Migori over the preparedness of the County regarding Corona virus outbreak.

Addressing the press, Migori County nurses union chairman Morris Achochi has said that the health workers are at risk of contracting the virus since they do not have the required equipment to handle covid-19 patients in the county.

He said that the county has not provided hand sanitizers and other personal protective equipment to the health workers and he fears for mostly the nurses who come into contact with the patients.

However the County Government said that they are adequately prepared to handle any case of corona.

Public health chief officer Fidel Majiwa said that the county has set aside Sh40millions to help in the mitigation of the patients and cases of corona in the county.

Health executive Isca Oluoch said that the county is prepared but the process is taking a slow pace in order to help mitigate the processes.
