Migori Woman Representative candidate Josephine Sirega has recorded statement with police over assassination attempts.

Sirega, former Ramogi FM presenter said a young man in her security detail was paid Sh15,500 to assassinate her.

“He was to be paid a total of Sh86,000 and the amount was a down payment by my rival who was in constant communication with him,” Sirega claimed.

She said her team grew suspicious and after interrogation he accepted before they took him to Awendo police station.

“I have recorded a statement with police and I hope investigations will commence with speed,” she said.

She called for peaceful campaigns.
