Migori Senator Ochillo Ayacko Governor bid received a major boost after the Jubilee Party endorsed him for the Agusut 9 elections.

The party’s Nyanza region coordinator Thomas Nyangi who is also vying for Kuria West MP seat said he had confidence Ochillo will take over from Governor Okoth Obado.

Nyangi who was speaking in Ikerege said Senator Ochillo will mend the relationship between the Kuria and Luo communities which was strained during Obado’s ten year reign.

According to Kuria West MP hopeful, the senator had shown a sign of good faith and had taken the first step by appointing Dr Mahiri Gemunta as his deputy governor.

Nyangi also expressed confidence in Ochillo giving the Kuria region its fair share of development that they had been denied under Obado’s regime.

For instance, Nyangi said Ochillo will help Kehancha town get its deserved municipality position.

The Jubilee Party Nyanza coordinator overlooked its party candidate Dalmas Otieno who is also vying Migori governor seat.
