Police have launched investigations after a body of an unidentified  boda boda rider was found in Kamuga village, GodJope ward in Suna East sub-county today.

The rider died from drowning following a heavy downpour in the area the previous night.

The body was found by a minor who was going to a garden in the morning.

Godjope location senior chief Luke Ouma said they are suspecting a woman passenger who was with the rider has perished too.

“Alongside the body of the man we found a weave and female trousers belong, we are still searching for her,” Ouma said.

He said they are yet to identify where the deceased came from, but have spread word around the area to try and identify him.

His motorbike with registration Number KMDY 252B was also retrieved.

The residents are now blaming Migori county Government for failing to put bridges where necessary as the body is taken to Migori county level four hospital mortuary.
