Migori speaker Boaz Okoth has lauded seven MCAs from his backyard of Nyatike and others who stood by him when his impeachment was looming.

Speaking in Sori town during the county Mashujaa day celebrations led by county commissioner Boaz Cherutich and County Secretary Christopher Rusana.

Boaz said his predicament was born out of rumours that he could not be trusted with ODM sponsored impeachment of governor Okoth Obado, which has since stalled.

“Those who wanted to impeach me were after Obado over rumours and thought we were push overs,” he said.

He said Nyatike MCAs and others stood by him to weave through the rumours.
