A badly mutilated body of a form four student at St. Sabianas Owich Secondary School has been discovered only 50 meters from where her boyfriend committed suicide.

Both lovers were reported missing on July 26, on July 27 the body of Melvin Adhiambo was found by a woman collecting firewood at Puche village in Nyatike.

Police reports indicate the body had burn wounds and bruises on the face, hands, stomach and legs.

Nyatike police boss Stella Too confirmed that on July 28, the body of the boyfriend Evans Ouma, 26, was found danglintg from a sisal rope at an abandoned homestead in suspected suicide.

“We have launched investigations to connect the two deaths and the motive,” Too said.

Police reports indicated the two bodies were taken to Migori County Referral Hospital’s morgue for post mortem examination.
