All 4,500 applicants for the Uriri Constituency bursary have benefitted from the kitty.
From today area MP Mark Nyamita started the distribution of the bursary from Oyani center in East Kanyamkago.
Nyamita said the process took long to issue because of huge number of applicantions and tedious vetting process.
“We found eight university students who applied but are not in school,” he said.
The legislator said he chose to personally issue the check which will end on Thursday instead of having applicants to pick them at Rapogi center.
“When I was in campaigns I went on the ground personally to seek votea. I have also moved personally to meet my constituents,” he said.

In high school day schoolers will receive Sh3,000, borders Sh5,000 while university/college had Sh10,000 each.
In spirit of transparency it is 4,500 got bursaries from the area.
He gave the bursary disbursement a clean bill of health.
