Abuor organises Migori legislators meeting over senator by-elections

Migori county MPs are expected to meet on Monday over the October 8 senator by-elections.

Rongo MP Paul Abuor, who is the county chairman for ODM leaders Parliamentary Group have called for the meeting.

Abuor is the chairman for six out of eight county MPs affiliated to the ODM party which picked former Cabinet Minister Ochillo Ayacko as the flag bearer.

Others are Peter Masara (Suna West), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Junet Mohammed (Suna East), Tom Odege (Nyatike) and Walter Owino (Awendo).

Following the meeting, a funds drive for Former Councillors Sacco slotted for July 29 has been moved to August 30. Abuor was to be the guest of honour.

“I have called a meeting of all elected Migori County MPs on Monday 30th July to lay ground for the campaigns of the forthcoming Migori Senatorial by-election,” the MP said.

But following the move, two MPs from Kuria, Mathias Robi (Kuria West) and Marwa Kitayama (Kuria East) all elected in Jubilee Party ticket will also attend.

Abuor is also the secretary for Migori County PG.
