HTC Counselors Job at ICAP Kenya (90 positions)

Location: Nyanza

ICAP of Columbia University is working in partnership with the Kenyan Ministry of Health to strengthen HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment services at County and Sub County health facilities. This program is part of a US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The HTC Counselor will generally be responsible for the provision of door-to-door community HIV testing, counseling and linkage of HIV positive clients to care and treatment.

S/he will ensure quality of implementation of HTC services.

HTC Counselors Jobs Responsibilities

Provide quality HIV Testing services

Refer all patients who test HIV-positive to care

Refer all HIV-negative men who are not circumcised for VMMC

Maintain a well-documented HTC registers Store and use the HTC commodities according to the national guidelines

Qualifications For HTC Counselors Jobs

At least Form 4 with mean grade of C with at least two (2) years relevant work experience

NASCOP certified HTC certificate mandatory.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient’s information
